Welcome to the Salmon Valley Business & Innovation Center (SVBIC). The SVBIC is a 15,000 sq. ft. business resource center in a park-like setting with magnificent views of the Continental Divide and the Salmon Valley. The SVBIC was developed in 2003 as a means to encourage new growth and development of businesses in the Lemhi Valley while creating greater employment opportunities for residents.

The Center offers a diverse range of facilities and is designed to support non-retail, new & emerging businesses. It currently houses a 1200 sq. ft. Distance Learning Lab & Community Computer Center; Lemhi County Economic Development Offices, and 10,000 sq. ft. of business incubation lease space. It is equipped with state of the art telecommunications including high speed DSL, T1 lines & wireless internet connections. It also features prime rentable Conference/Workshop Space & Board Room, Indoor/ Outdoor Break & Kitchen Areas, Centralized Heating/ Cooling & Monitored Fire Alarm Systems.

Principle of Accounting

INSTRUCTOR:

Jerry Brown is a local resident who has taught accounting classes at both the high school and college level. He is retired and works part-time at a local accounting office.

CLASS CONTENT:

The class is an introduction to contemporary financial accounting. It will cover basic terminology and concepts, the theoretical framework of double entry accounting and descriptions and origins of the primary financial statements prepared by accountants.
