Job Description
Lemhi County Economic Development Association, Inc. is a private nonprofit corporation that was initiated in 1978 to promote community economic development in Lemhi, County Idaho. For 30 years our organization has developed and implemented programs and projects that have assisted our rural people attain self-sufficiency through community and economic development.
The mission of the Lemhi County Economic Development Association, Inc. is to build a diverse and sustainable economy that will create continuing, year round, skilled employment opportunities by:
– promoting economic development through business retention, expansion, creation, and recruitment;
– assisting with community development projects that improve the quality of life and assist in stabilizing the economy;
– building partnerships that leverage public, private, and cooperative resources to stimulate rural economic activity
Receptionist and General Office Assistant responsibilities include the following:
- Answering phones
- Greeting visitors and clients
- General Filing
- Providing tours of the Salmon Valley Business & Innovation Center
- General Typing
- General Data entry
- Xeroxing (copying)
- Collating
- Mailings
- Assisting staff with various projects
Candidates should have basic office and computer skills, be familiar with Microsoft Office
applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. We are looking for volunteers, who are motivated, self-starters, flexible, team players competent to work with a diverse staff and client population.
LCEDA needs volunteer assistance with greeting visitors and clients, answering phones, filing, copying, light bookkeeping, data entry, running automated reports and letters, sorting mail, helping with mass mailings, and other general office duties.
Days per week and hours per day may be negotiated, to meet your needs. We also need volunteers interested in helping with the following:
- Docents to help give tours of our projects.
- Fund-raising assistance.
- Help with annual campaigns (phone calls, mailings, clerical).
