Eastern Idaho Technical College has been working with Salmon Valley Business & Innovation Center for a number of years. Their Licensed Practical Nursing Program (LPN) has been a huge success with a graduating class of 25 the first year the program was run and now there are 18 slated to graduate in the spring of 2009.
This program is a 2 -3 year program with an option to further their education. In the LPN program they can transfer to ISU and recieve their Associates Degree in Nursing. Classes are held two days a week here at the Innovation Center in Room 106.
EITC offers other programs such as marketing and electronics. With a strong interest, EITC would be happy to offer these programs through distance learning via video conferencing. A public meeting will be held in January to discuss the possibilities.
Adult Education Outreach Program consists of classes that would be of interest to the general public. They include topics such as Global Positioning Systems, Healing with Medicinal Plants and Successful Grant Writing to mention just a few. These classes are usually held in the evenings at the Salmon High School.
