Since its inception, LCEDA has been striving to better the community. We offer the Distance Learning Lab where the students in Lemhi County have been able to meet and exchange ideas with students in Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, Pocatello, Twin Falls and Soda Sprngs. Business owners have been able to engage in video conferences with the Small Business Development Center to discuss creative ideas and strategies to impove and grow their business.
Eastern Idaho Technical College [EITC] continues to educate our nurses and provide opportunities for them to better themselves and our local health care facilities. New and innovative businesses are operating and providing jobs and opportunites for our local workforce.
Through partnerships with Idaho State University we have been able to provide new computers for our computer lab that is open and free to the public. These are just some of the activities that have been going on under the ausipices of LCEDA and our many partners.
We are actively discussing and creating new ways to bring distance learning to Lemhi County. We have created the COMMUNITY EDUCATION & WORK FORCE DEVELOPMENT SURVEY to collect data to help us better focus our efforts. Please take our survey now and participate in creating this exciting effort.
